Whoa!!! Let me get through this recap so I can get to the shocker at the end...
Hannah agrees to testify to whatever the police need to get a warrant to search Annalise's house. Annalise told Bonnie to go handle it and not blow it. But Bonnie blew it. Buuut...the police found nothing.
Throughout the episode Connor and Michaela worry that Annalise is trying to set them up. Annalise finally calls Connor into her office to tell him without her they'll go to prison and with her at least they have a chance.
The police find both carpet fibers and foliage from a wooded area with Sam's remains. But Michaela refuses to go search for her ring in the woods. Bonnie figures out what happened and asks Annalise if protecting her students is worth her own reputation.
And, just because it may come back up, I suppose I will mention the case she was working on this episode. She got her client, a member of a mob family (?), off by getting someone to testify that the prosecutor that has been going after this family for years promised him a green card if he randomly picked their unit for a weigh-in (a unit that wouldn't meet the weight requirement and ended up being full of heroin). This could be significant later, as the prosecutor somewhat threatened Annalise twice regarding her going to court herself for the murder of her husband.
But back to the ring...and the shocking ending... Rebecca comes in where all of the students (except for Asher of course) are discussing their current situation. She says a friend's brother (who is a police officer) told her the police found a ring in the woods. You just know it's Michaela's ring, right?! Well, it turns out it's Sam's wedding band. O...and there was a fingerprint on it. Flashback to Annalise telling Frank to take care of it, and Frank taking the ring...putting Nate's fingerprint on it (yep, Nate!)...and then placing the ring in the woods. Cut back to the present and Nate being brought to jail in handcuffs!!! She set him up after asking him if he thought she did it. Of course Hannah still thinks Annalise was involved and had Nate do the killing.
Did she really set Nate up for the fall to save her students (like Michaela suggests), or does she have some type of strategy so they all get away with it without Nate going to prison?!
We shall see...2 more episodes...3 more hours...and I can't wait to see Ms. Cicely Tyson!
