The Game Recap, S. 8, E. 7
Sooo...turns out this is not the last season of the Game. Its next season is its final season. That explains the way this season ended. There were a couple of loose ends.
Tasha is giving all of her attention to Blue, her new client, while practically ignoring Malik. But on the other hand, Kiera seems to be more focused on Malik than Blue, and Blue is starting to notice. He sets up a double date with Malik, but Malik is just not into the girl. The show goes so far as to have the cliche dance with your partner to make the other person jealous competition scene. Competition of course being between Malik and Kiera. Blue calls Kiera out on it, and she ends up storming out and then heading to Malik's place...where they both admit to having feelings for each other...agree to spend less time together...get into an argument...and then start kissing...
Jason gets an offer to be the Saber's new head coach after the coach has a heart attack and the assistant coach calls bad plays. He's scared to take the opportunity, but with encouragement from Kelly, he takes the position. During the press conference he thanks his family and pulls Kelly onto the platform. Then the scene cuts to Chardonnay watching this on her iPad. She proceeds to yell to her parents she's going back to San Diego to "tear some ish up."
One more season to go...

The Game Recap, S. 8, E. 6
So...this episode basically set up the show for it's very final episode, airing next week.
Kelly and Jason are trying to make it work again...
Chardonnay is moving out of San Diego permanently...
Tasha is back on her Management game with a temporary stint with Blue...
And Malik and Keira are having strong sexual tension (including some corny editing and scenes that imply they both went to separate bathrooms and masturbated while thinking of each other, and while Blue was in the other room)...
Yea...ready for this show to be put out of its misery...

The Game Recap, S. 8, E. 5
So the person Chardonnay called at the end of the last episode was her sorority sister. She flew her soror out to visit, and then she threw Chardonnay a Divorce party. At the party Chardonnay slept with a guy and later tased him after accusing him of stealing her wedding ring (which turned out to be on a table in cleaning solution). Womp, womp! Tasha came and Oliva Pope'd the situation, and then suggested Chardonnay leave for a while and go find the old, pre-Jason Chardonnay.
Meanwhile, Jason keeps trying to convince Kelly they should be together. She eventually switches from thinking Jason is trying to pin his leaving Chardonnay on her to giving him a chance to woo her in an old courtship fashion.
Keira takes Malik to an acting class that requires her to bring a non-acting partner, b/c Blue is unavailable. The teacher ends up requiring the two to kiss, and it turned into a rather long and somewhat passionate kiss. They left each other in very awkward way. What does the Game have up its sleeve for the last season?

The Game Recap, S. 8, E. 4
Well, Jason got Malik back on the team as the 3rd string quarterback, but Malik also wanted to be Team Captain. He made a fool of himself thinking he had it based off what Jason told him, but unbeknownst to him, Coach changed his mind and made Blue Team Captain.
Chardonnay received a Sun Burnt package from the Sunbeams, and when she left the meeting they made Tasha choose between her friend and the team. So despite hooking Chardonnay up with a forensic accountant to find Jason's hidden millions, she later comes to ask Chardonnay to forgive Jason instead of taking his millions and throwing him off his coaching game. Chardonnay quickly showed her the door.
Blue is focused and organized, and he tries to get Keira organized as she struggles to balance her career, his career, and the Sunbeams. But she can't seem to handle it.
End of the episode ends with Chardonnay on the phone telling someone she misses them and wants to see them.

The Game - Episode 3, Season 8
- Blue realizes he was a "groupie" after Kierra and Jason both called him out on it. A groupie in the sense that he was getting caught up in hanging out with celebrities and losing focus on football. So he steps it up on the field.
- Jason is pretty much losing everything to Chardonnay in the divorce. And he finally tells her the truth about how he feels after she kept trying to pull it out of him.
- Chardonnay attempts to speak her "truth" on Perez Hilton's show, only to have him point out she has no idea what happened between Jason and Kelly. Which leads her to question if it was really just a kiss. She confronts Jason on it, and he reiterates it was just a kiss. But then she asks "WHY?" Why to all of it, not just the kiss. He tried to give her the nice answer, but she said she wanted the truth not something to make her feel better. So then he hit her with...He loves her and thinks she's amazing, but the one thing you don't want to hear from a man you're in love with...she's just not the right one for him.
- Tasha keeps pawning Cai off on Tee Tee, and then at the end of the episode Tee Tee has enough and leaves. Tasha seems like she isn't comfortable with the crying baby and calls Malik to tell him he has to come watch his sister. Given she's already had a child, though long ago, it is odd that she is behaving in this manner. Perhaps it'll turn out to be a clinical issue of some type.

The Game - Episode 2, Season 8
Quick recap:
-Keira and Blue reconciled in a cheesy text scene...is this what they think millenials do? Text each other while in the same room to avoid verbally discussing emotionally charged issues?
-Malik forged Yana's signature, put together an elaborate try out (w/ DJ and dancers), only to fail miserably...losing Yana and probably a future playing the game.
-Chardonnay is going to become a "brand" (can her brand include discontinuing her overuse of "YAASS"?). She served Jason divorce paper and hit him with a suit for her emotional distress...there goes Jason money from his new position with the Sabers
-Tasha and Pookie seem to be coming to terms on the baby...
I'm still kinda ready for this to wrap up...

The Game - Episode 1, Season 8
Well, this is the final season for The Game. Long overdue!
Brief recap:
- Blue and Kiera are on their way to Vegas to get married (maybe...Blue didn't seem too thrilled about hearing she'll be filming a movie soon)
-Jason is confused and loves Kelly and Chardonnay
-Kelly lied and told Jason she's seeing someone else and tried to tell Chardonnay to give Jason another chance
-Pookie wants to raise his baby with Tasha on his own
-Malik seems to be preparing to counterfeit Yana's signature to be able to play football again

Really, Jason?!
Kelly came back at the request of her daughter, and despite what the previews suggested, she was actually pretty respectful for someone who was with Jason for 20 years and has a daughter with him. The previews kinda took her statement about his business always being her business out of context. Yes, Chardonnay was upset, but she was just hurt and emotional about Kelly flying into the picture and seemingly reclaiming her role within the family. And that too was understandable.
Chardonnay told Jason not to payoff the player who was going to reveal they both took steroids, but Kelly ended up paying him off without them knowing. Hence, Chardonnay getting upset and Kelly's statement about Jason's business being her business, which by the way she followed by saying because she was the mother of his child. Valid point.
Any who, after asking Kelly to leave as Chardonnay wished, Jason went to thank Kelly at her hotel. Kelly opens the door and Jason goes in for a kiss. Cut to commercial and I'm upset/annoyed. Then they come back, and it's actually Kelly who stops it. At the end of it, Jason said Chardonnay was amazing, and then they talked for hours, until 4am actually! Kelly missed her flight, so maybe she'll be in the next episode, and Jason came up with a brilliant plan for how he'll explain this to Chardonnay after 22 missed calls. <side eye> He purposefully crashes his car!!!
O and...Tasha still hasn't told Pookie and Rick about her bun in the oven. Blue is still making me feel for poor Keira. First, he gets upset with her when she comes to help him with his community service (picking up trash) and causes him to get an extra week of service. He goes so far as to tell her him trying to keep her from drinking and driving was not an invitation back into his life. Then, after seeing the internet abuzz with news that Keira revealed he only got in trouble because he was trying to keep her from drinking and driving, he confronted her. By the end of their convo she revealed he was not just her "first," but also her first love. And then he said he needed time to think about it. And so, "poor Keira" continues on!
But back to this crash my car idea...which by the way won't do much considering the previews show Tasha telling Chardonnay Jason was with Kelly in her hotel all night...REALLY, JASON?!

The Game Recap - "Rules of the Street"
So Tasha is indeed pregnant (and apparently a heavy weed smoker...I don't smoke, but 2 pounds sounds like a lot!)! She conceived in November, meaning the baby daddy could be Rick or Pookie. Though, I think we all knew this season was going to be about Tasha not knowing who her baby daddy is. Do you think they'll actually have her have the baby, or will she lose it tragically?? I'm sure we won't know until the end of the season.
A new trainer has convinced Malik that she can do more than just fix his arm, but she can get him back into the NFL. After getting over the idea that she's using him like a leech, he accepts the fact that she, as a businesswoman, is using the opportunity to bring in business if she is successful. So I suppose the season will be about him struggling to physically and mentally get prepared to return to the game. The trainer is a beautiful girl, whom Malik instantly hit on, but she turned out to be in a committed relationship with another woman. I still feel there is potential drama on the romantic side sure to spark between these two.
Keira and Blue are still not on good terms, since Blue had to go to court over assaulting the security when he tried to keep Keira from drinking and driving in the last episode. He ended up with just community service. I found it interesting how before going to court Blue suggested it wasn't fair that celebrities get harder sentences just because they are celebrities. Ummm...is it not the other way around? Celebrities typically get lighter sentences just because they are celebrities? Though, I suppose typically getting lighter sentences may cause the opposite to begin to occur.
Anyway, Kelly is officially back next week! Should be interesting.

So...The Game is Back
And well...here are my questions:
- Why are they still using Tia’s leg in the opening credits? LOL
- How’d I know the seat next to Blue was going to be for his date? Poor Kiera. :(
- Why must BET make Tasha Mack so over the top?! When they first came to BET they had her smoking cigars, and now it's plastic surgery. SMH
- Ummm...Did someone actually think these repeat/skipping lines and mind reading scenes were a good idea? And why Chardonnay have to be singing about hot sauce? SMDH
- Did I hear someone on a music video sing “Black guys doing illegal things”? Please tell me I misheard that.
- Why were there, not 1, but 2 graphic throw up scenes? Someone must have worked really hard on making that fake vomit, b/c they made sure we saw it BOTH times!
- Did Blue have to call Kiera "pathetic"? Dang, poor Kiera :( (I hope there won't be too many "poor Kiera's" this season...I'm already over it, lol).
- FINALLY...why did Blue overreact like that with the police officer??
