Boo 2! A Madea's Halloween is pretty much what I expected. Well maybe a little funnier than I thought it would be, the second half of the film any way. Mind you, my expectations were very, very low. I haven't watched a Madea film in years, back when it seemed like the film tried to force feed you some message (which you may or may not agree with) alongside an over the top Madea.
I will assume the force-feeding of a message aspect of the films went away a few Madea films ago. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, allowing for the film to be a full on comedy. As a comedy, you're here for fun and laughs. So not always having the best acting or plot is excusable.
The film is funny, with some of the audience laughing more than others. I would guess, if you enjoyed the last couple of Madea films you'd probably enjoy this one too. For what it set out to do, I think the film did pretty well.
